My children loved swimming in the Cross Bath, part of Thermae but children over 12 can attend with an adult. It's part Roman building and original spring - lovely warm water.
Sally Lunn's Buns was yummy and not too expensive.

The Real Italian Pizza Co, The Oven and The Bath Stable are all good yet reasonable.
Depending on the 12yo, Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein might be suitable.

No. 1 Royal Crescent
The Herschel Museum

(my 12 year old liked both!)

Mine loved the Bizarre Bath comedy walking tour at that age (if it is still going - we went a couple of years ago now)

The bell in walcot streey is a nice hippyish pub with good space outside and random music on- great takeaway opposite- not the cheapest though!

There is an amazing chairty shop opposite where many bargains can be found.
