Bleeding hemorrhoids while on holiday

Hello,
I've never suffered from hemorrhoids before. 4 days ago, I noticed a sore, itchy external one about the size of a small grape. I have been putting germoloids on since then. About 5 hours ago I had a bowel movement - not constipated but firm. I've been bleeding since. Every time I wipe there is blood.

I'm currently in Greece on holiday. I'm wondering if I need to see a doctor or keep going with the homecare and wait until I'm back home in a week. Can anyone suggest another treatment?

The best thing that works for me is cold water to shrink them. Get in the shower and blast them with ice cold water for as long as you can stand. The idea is to shrink them a bit and stop the bleeding. Hope this works.

How are you?

@JoyousGuide thanks for checking in. The bleeding is minimal but the hemorrhoid is still a decent size. I tried cold water but no noticeable change. I'll persist with that and the cream and get to a gp when I'm back on Monday. Just a bit crap whe. You're away.

Witch hazel is your friend, if you can find it. Miraculous stuff!

Get some suppositories. Greek pharmacies are brilliant and cheap.
