Spare room bed.

I am new to having a spare room. It will be mostly used as a craft/sewing room.

I'm happy to have the dedicated space for that but will need to keep a bed in it.

My question is, what do you do with your bed in your spare room?

Do you leave it just a bare bed, make it up properly, or cover with something pretty but still need to make the bed up when you have a guest?

It's usually made up with a big throw over it to keep the bedding 'untouched'. At the moment there's a small suitcase on it being slowly filled with things for next month's holiday. But I could whip that off and pull off the throw and the sheets are still fresh underneath.

I had it made up but with a bed cover (pulled up to cover the pillows too) or a doubled up clean cotton dust sheet over it.

Thank you. That makes sense. I do sometimes have a "Surprise" guest in the form of my 18 year old sons best friend. He turns up here when he's, ahem, unable to make it to his home town a few miles away. I'd not see the lad wandering the streets, any more than his mum would with mine. He tends to go in with my son, but it doesn't always go down well, due to his work schedule.

I just have it made up as a normal bed and fresher the duvet cover up if anyone is staying over which is unusual.
to be fair thought, it’s usually covered with clothes that need putting away

I’ve got 4 spare room beds all covered with stuff that’s been dumped. But underneath they’re nicely made!
