Vinted - "I only ever leave 4 stars because there's always room for improvement"

Disclaimer - I realise that this isn't that deep.

I buy and sell a bit on vinted. I always take care to leave positive feedback rather than just letting it come automatically because I feel it's a nice way to say thank you to sellers.

I was doing this just not and noticed that the person who had left feedback before had left very positive comments with 4 stars. The seller had politely enquired about why they'd lost a star and got the response Vinted "I only ever leave 4 stars because there's always room for improvement".

I instantly went to the profile of the person who wrote it and blocked them because they sounded like a nob, but is this a thing now? Meaning that some people are essentially marking out of 4 rather than 5 to prove some kind of point?

Hahaha what a twat. Pretty sure buyers get feedback don’t they? You should have told them the same before blocking 😆
ETA duh you’re not the seller…. Seller should have!

Yes, some people do this. They are weird. All you can do is ignore, people looking at your reviews won’t be put off by a 4 star review with a positive comment. It says more about the person who left it than the seller.

Vinted is not our job, there’s no reason to ‘improve’ anything. I put the stuff in a package and it goes in the post, end of. I’m not throwing in thank you notes and freebies on a €3 top.

I think some people get confused about what they’re rating and maybe think they’re reviewing the postman taking ‘too long’ or Vinted charging them ‘too much’ in fees.

I would be leaving that buyer 3 stars right back if I received that condescending reply. What a prat.

Ha I got a 3 star review from some fucker because a dress was too tight. It was in perfect condition and unaltered. But they had it in another colour and the one I sold was tighter.

I also have the dress in two colours and have never noticed a difference so perhaps it is her original dress that is unusual.

She's probably "grown" since she bought the original and the dress stretched with her. I've made the same mistake myself 😂
