Beginners piano keyboard help

DS11 is interested in learning to play the keyboard and I’ve no idea where to start with looking or even what he really needs.

Budget would be no more than £150. Ideally it would be one that could stand on its side behind a door when not in use rather than being out all the time. Does he need a stand, headphones, stool etc please? Help!

Ask the teacher - they'll have details of suitable ones and you may be able to get a discount on one if purchased via the school.

Anyone else? He doesn’t currently have lessons and I’m not sure the school music teacher could help.

Get on Facebook marketplace. I've seen weighted key electronic pianos on there for £50 and under. You want weighted keys if at all possible.
