Increasing numbers of people seem to be relying on AI as a source of information rather than search engines and reliable websites. Most people have heard of it getting things wrong or hallucinating, but perhaps don't know just how bad it can be.
Sam Coates does a political podcast and he uploads the transcript each week to ChatGPT for feedback.
Last week he didn't upload the transcript, asked it for all the transcripts it had, and it told him it had all of them including that day's transcript. Which didn't exist.
He then asked it for the transcript and it made up a podcast which it then told Sam he had uploaded in the future.

It is worth watching the entire video.
I know about the issues with AI, but I'm still pretty shocked that it would script an entire fake podcast and claim that it's real. I'm not sure what it can be 'safely' used for.
