How ‘safe’ is the Peanut app?

I remember having to verify myself with a selfie, does everyone have to do that? Just wondering as have been chatting to a few nice women that have suggested meeting up but wanted to make sure it’s safe- there’s hardly anyone from my local area on there so I’m trying to get the best from it. Some of them only have one picture hence my uncertainty.

I've met up a few mums on there and it's been fine. I took the usual precautions the first time I met up with them though - made sure it was in a public place, made my own way there etc so I could get out easy if they turned out to be dodgy. Never happened though!

It's as safe as anything else. Just usual precautions - meet in a cafe or similar public space and leave if you feel uncomfortable.
