Nappy in the washing machine - Help!

Hello!

I wondered if anyone could help.

I managed to do a full load of washing along with a thankfully almost empty nappy but it has exploded in the washing machine ughhhh!

Clothes are covered in the gel stuff. I have managed to wipe inside the washing machine and popped it on a rinse and spin cycle but there's still some gel residue. The cycle is currently on an eco wash to try and flush it all out but my question is, can I run the clothes through the tumble to try and get rid the leftover gloop or will it damage the dryer somehow?

I'm planning on popping the clothes through a 40° wash after the eco cycle is done anyways so do I just wait or attempt the tumble beforehand?

Thanks!

Did this once. Shook every item out, outside. Wouldn't risk the tumbly.

Took ages to get the bits off everything.

Been there, done that, had a thread about it 😂.

Don’t tumble - wash again first.

Thanks so much for the responses!

Will avoid the tumble! I've tried shaking off as much as I could so here's hoping the next wash will sort them out.

Can't believe all the mess 😅
