Do you believe you'll see your pets who have died again in an afterlife?

My gorgeous boy died today and I'm holding on to the hope I'll see him again one day. It's incredibly painful without him.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Grief is what happens when the bond of love between two individuals is disrupted when the loved one at the other end of that bond isn't there.

I am not certain about whether there's an afterlife bit if there is, the healing of those bonds is a vital part of restoring us. For it to work at all as an afterlife, that love which endures has to be included, it would be impossible for it not to be.

I’m sorry for your loss, OP. I’m not sure what I believe about heaven at the moment but am sure that whatever it is must include animals. The Boble is clear that heaven will make up for and outweigh suffering on earth (eg ‘For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.’ 2 Corinthians 4:17).

We know that animals have the capacity to
suffer so to me it would make no sense if they were barred from the comfort of heaven.

Thank you everyone. I have made some keepsakes to remind me of him. Not that I'll ever forget him. I have his blanket and ted near me. I sniff them sometimes. Today, I was outside at his grave and I said his name numerous times and each time I said it, the grey clouds parted and the sun shone through so brightly and it was so warm.

I was also talking to him earlier in the hope he could hear me and the fairy lights flickered. Not just one set but two different sets.
