One of those what are you up to today/what's going on for you threads.

Feeling very stuck in my own head, would be nice to hear how everyone is doing just to chat.

Please share whatever you like.

I took the bus into town this afternoon so that I could work in the reading room of our city library. It has a lovely smell of wood and old books, plus plenty of shiny brass handrails and marble staircases.

TableTurners · 07/06/2025 17:04

@RhinestoneCowgirl that sounds lovely. I used to be at the library daily back when I was a student but just don't have time these days.

Sounds like a gentle morning.

I had a slow morning then took one of my dc to a sporting activity. Bought some chips to share on the way home. It was a nice distraction as I have also been stuck in my head. Hope your ok @TableTurners

TableTurners · 07/06/2025 17:11

@Escapingagain sharing chips sounds like a lovely thing to do, I used to do it with my dad when I was young if he picked me up from school.

I'm ok, thanks for asking ❤️ just a lot going on right now.

This morning DS1 went to work and DS2 and I did ParkRun, he runs and I walk. We had an early lunch because I'm always starving after ParkRun.

Then DH and I went to the Garden Centre and got a few plants but they are sitting in the conservatory at the moment because it hasn't stopped raining long enough for us to plant them.

Now we are waiting around to give DS1 and his GF a lift somewhere so they can have a drink without worrying about where to leave the car. They said 6pm so we have not thought about cooking tea yet but there is absolutely no sign of getting ready and on previous experience I do not think we will be leaving at 6. I can see a late tea coming on and DS2 is already acting like he has never been fed.

I'm in the midst of my annual bipolar hypomanic episode Happens every time and I don't realise! My sons do by my increased volume of rambling texts
First aid plan in action Lorazepam and zopiclone for sleep and to calm my thoughts
Decaf and herbal teas low/ no lights and volume to reduce over stimulation.
My overspending( Vinted, but still) has stopped now
on a positive note I have created 2 lovely threads which are very popular!
Usual duration is 4-6 weeks.
summer is common due to sunlight increasing the serotonin and Whoosh comes the high.

What are your threads :)

uncomfortablydumb60 · 07/06/2025 19:51

They're " Where in the world feeds your soul" and " What is your album"

Natsku · 07/06/2025 19:55

I'm sitting next to DS while he falls asleep. I don't need to, he'll sleep happily by himself but I'm having one of those days when I think about how quickly he's growing up and soon he won't want me in his room any more so I have to make the most of it.

Then I will go downstairs and finish watching the handmaid's tale and have a couple of beers. I've been doing a lot of tidying up today so I now I need to relax.

BCBird · 07/06/2025 19:56

Not been as productive as I would like as feel.off.- got fibromyalgia. Am aching more than usual. Tried to take some clothes back.to a shop that I'd bought online only to find shop.no.longer there. Trying to gee myself up.to.do online banking. Planned a lesson for nxt week. Going to read. Weather terrible.

RosesAndHellebores · 07/06/2025 20:01

DH is 240 miles away visiting his very elderly and increasingly frail mother.

After a very demanding week dealing with a cuntastic employee, I dropped dd this morning at the station, came home, pottered, watched two episodes of Victoria, sorted, folded and put away a mountain of laundry, went to the pet shop and Sainsburys and made myself a simple supper.

DD is at her bf's tonight and tomorrow I hope to have a day in the garden.

BobbyBiscuits · 07/06/2025 20:03

Hope everyone is having a nice chilled day.

I just stared out into my garden and was glad I didn't need to get the can or hose out.

Just found out my bestie is going to visit me next year so I'm over the moon about that!

Eating a kinder milk slice which tastes absolutely deliciously UPF-tastic!

@RhinestoneCowgirl Bristol?

StJulian2023 · 07/06/2025 20:35

I’m batch cooking lasagna and slightly worrying about the colour I’ve chosen for my new kitchen. Sage green. Tell me yes, it will be lovely

Yes Bristol. It's one of my very happy places and I realised I hadn't been for a while ☺️
