Arthritis and mattresses

Posting here for traffic.

If you have joint problems (I'm facing a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis), what kind of mattress do you have?

I'm 33, relatively fit and healthy yet hobbling round like an old woman. My mattress that I have now was a cheap emergency purchase from tesco after I left my marriage and now I need to get it sorted.

I have a memory foam topper on it but to be honest I think that makes the pain worse, not better.

I have an Otty Hybrid and it's quite firm but not rock solid. It's very supportive. I've had it for quite a few years and it's had no problems. You can give it a trial and see how you get on.
