Downsizing help

Post divorce I’m planning on leaving our 3 bedroom rented house for a rented 2 bed with a much smaller garden. It will save me a significant amount so i can start saving to buy a house in the future. I have a lot of stuff. Any tips for downsizing and also has anyone got any good point about downsizing as I feel
so sad leaving our family home.

A room at a time. What do you need from that room, what can be recycled and what needs to be thrown away.

Do the same with clothes.

Are there things in the garden like tubs and pots you want to take with you? Is there anything that could be left or do you need it all?

The good points about downsizing are that you dispose of stuff you don’t use or need, so everything you have is something useful, or beautiful, or has an emotional value to you. Downsizing means less housework too.

I am quite looking forward to a reduction in housework and garden stuff.
