What AI platforms do you use?

I use ChatGPT regularly and like it. Didn’t really get on with Copilot. I have heard that Chat GPT is basic and there are better platforms out there. I am interested in exploring more so would like recommendations of other AI platforms you use.

We use Grok, have been happy with the responses - great for doing initial research for us on eg holiday plans, making meal plans, suggesting activities etc

grizzlyoldbear · 06/06/2025 15:29

I upgraded to deep research on chat gpt and it basically wrote a whole defence for a small claim I had. It was flipping amazing. But realise I'm probably a v basic user.

BuffaloCauliflower · 06/06/2025 15:30

I usually use Google Gemini. Found it the best when we trialled a few at work, and like most of these things now just stick with the one I know

OriginalUsername2 · 06/06/2025 15:30

Grok mainly. ChatGPT if I’ve reached my usage limit.

PearlsPearl · 06/06/2025 16:00

I've only tried ChatGPT which meets my needs but I've never heard of Grok so I'm now off to try it!

parietal · 06/06/2025 16:49

None. They are all bollocks and the outputs can’t be trusted.

Cornishmumofone · 06/06/2025 17:52

Claude and Gemini for research work; Copilot at work.

TheLudditesWereRight · 06/06/2025 18:34

None, they are all shit and will rot your brain while they destroy the planet. Grok tells people White South Africans are being subjected to genocide.

RaraRachael · 06/06/2025 18:54

Never had the need of any AI nor would I know how to find it.
Currently being driven by some new AI feature offering "suggestion" under loads of posts on Facebook.

Doggymummar · 06/06/2025 18:56

Gemini, it's what we have to use at work so it's what I'm used to

Mischance · 06/06/2025 18:58

I have found chatgpt very useful for looking into my complex heart conditions and their interactions. It speedily looks at drug interactions; explains some of the basic principles behind the treatments etc. with backed up scientific evidence. It would be wonderful if our own live medics had the time to do this, or the ability to look at things holistically, but sadly this is not the case.

Crazyladee · 06/06/2025 19:07

Chatgpt. Not tried any of the others. I use chatgpt for absolutely allsorts. Planning my day, recipe suggestions, holiday outfit planning. Also, I've been struggling with depression lately due to two significant, sudden bereavements. Don't anyone flame me, but I've used chatgpt to navigate my feelings when I've been at my lowest. Close friends have commented that I seem a lot more positive and happier since using it.

Truetoself · 06/06/2025 23:50

Thanks everyone! Will try Grok and Gemini!

ChatGPT (paid version) built me an entire database with a GUI from a set of 3 giant spreadsheets that I've built up over 4 years. I also generated 4 CSV files from our back office system for a hefty project, which created around 60,000 lines of messy data. Gave it some rules, explained the outputs I needed, and it cleaned everything up in one document.

I use it for all manner of ideations (I write a lot of company policies and procedures and it gives me a good start) , and yes I have vented to it on a bad day. It even swears, when the circumstances are appropriate. Wonder who taught it that 😬

I’m not sure what’s given you that impression? Here’s a screenshot - I just asked Grok about the white genocide claims, and it immediately said those are untrue then provided lots of examples of how the claim has been used and information debunking it.
Now if I wanted to actually write my own paper on this topic I would do more research on all these points, but it seems like a pretty helpful way to get a quick overview

Following the news is what has given me that impression https://www.msn.com/en-au/technology/artificial-intelligence/for-hours-chatbot-grok-wanted-to-talk-about-a-white-genocide-it-gave-a-window-into-the-pitfalls-of-ai/ar-AA1FpQo2

I mean, if you are happy putting money in the pockets of Nazis go right on using Grok

Alltheoldpaintings · 07/06/2025 12:47

Ok, there’s no need to be hostile. I hadn’t seen that news story - but it was a temporary issue, now resolved. I read your original assertion that grok is claiming there is a white genocide, tested it, found it was not correct so asked you what had given you that impression. You could have simply chosen to answer politely.

I don’t personally believe Musk is a nazi or affiliated with nazis, but you are welcome to your views.

reluctantbrit · 07/06/2025 12:55

None, I don't really see the need. I prefer to do my own research, even a Google search is now giving AI first before links.

My work is pushing to use it quite a lot, I recently saw the outcome of one colleague using it for answering a questionaire and it was useless.

I also have a husband working in the music business and friends in the creative industry and their experiences alone make me vary about truth and copyright damage.
