Photoshoot experience - have you done it?

Looking for advice/recommendations. I’m a Mum to two… my body is far from perfect but I’m realising with every passing day that I’m not getting any younger and being a Mum, I’m often the one behind the camera and not in front of it (No DP which adds to this!)

I was thinking I’d like to have a photoshoot. Just to capture some photos of me, as I am today. Not one of those boudoir types necessarily, but just an opportunity to capture a few pics of myself, looking good and without the mum bun!

Has anyone done this? Any tips or recommendations?

Love this idea! Haven’t done it but you should! We have some lovely photographers locally who do this sort of thing in lavender fields, woods etc. I love the style of Jenny Lewis (@jennylewis on instagram) - not local to me but I have her book One Day Young and her style is just gorge!

I did a boudoir shoot 2 years ago aged 48, I also did it to build confidence, there were two people present along with the photographer so got comfortable with it fairly quickly. I wore black lace lingerie and stockings but also a man’s white shirt so it’s not too sexy
