Just as the title says was you a young mum.
I ask because i feel if your a young mum or was a young mum mumsnet seems to look down on you.
But why should we be made to feel like idiots.

Ive been called a slag and idot that has missed out on life i wasted my youth and many more this is all from MN comments.
Just because im 38 and have a 22 year old son.
Just because some of us were young dont mean we cant make it in life.

I'm sorry I don't buy that. Have you got a link where someone actually called you a slag because I don't believe anyone on here would refer to another poster as that because she was a young mum

I buy it because i have had similar said to me on here but it seems that anything on hear needs to have some sort of proof linked.

Not all of us want kids in our 40s and life dont always plan out how we want.
I have a grown up child and i have no regrets either im now 40 with a 22 year old and all my freedom back.

I've never felt judged on MN for being a younger mum.
The incorrect use of was rather than were, lack of punctuation, and generally not that great an attempt at the English language, that's definitely getting you judged and called an idiot (I absolutely get that there will be reasons for this that you can't control, just being honest with you)

I was a young mum but I’d rather that than be in my 40s.

this makes me so mad, I was a mum at 23, i lived for my kids and still do, when people spin this crap look forward to helping my kids bring my grandchildren as great children up. Loads of my friends waited till they were in their 40s there is no right or wrong way 💕

Mumsnet isn’t a hive brain but general themes do pervade- looking down upon the working class/“chavs”/nouveaux riche/women who’ve had babies in their 20s or younger etc. It’s due to the general demographic that posts on MN. Not everyone thinks like this but is it very noticeable, both explicitly and implicitly.
