Why is this happening for UC/LCWRA?

I applied for Universal Credit on the 17th March and received my first UC payment on the 23rd April and then again on the 23rd May. I submitted a fit note on the 10th April and was subsequently put on the 'health' journey for LCW/LCWRA.

I have filled in the questionnaire that was sent and attended subsequent work coach appointments which were just check-ups due to my fit note being in force.

However, today I visited my work coach for an appointment and she didn't even mention the health journey or LCWRA and just booked another check-up for 29th July.

Why haven't I even had a work capability assessment yet despite it being months? How much longer will I likely have to wait for a work capability assessment let alone a decision and is it likely that if I do end up getting awarded, then it will be long after the 4 Assessment Period time period i.e. after 23rd August?

Hopefully you have this sorted by now, I had a similar ish situation a year or so ago. I had fit note saying not OK to work but this was ignored and they continued to expect 16 hours a week which was deducted at min wage rate from my basic Uc. The LWCRA path was never mentioned, I was left seriously struggling and not chasing up as I knew nothing about it. Then out of the blue a really nice dwp agent called and advised I had been awarded LCWRA and it was backdated many months, I was given 4.5k backpayment and my full monthly Uc reinstated was plus lcwra amount paid going forward. I cried with relief. A few months later they sent me a letter saying they hadn't calculated the back payments correctly and gave me another 1.2k.
My point is that they are utterly incompetent but maybe stuff is going on behind scenes and it will be put right, if not you at least know what it is you are missing and to chase up.
I really hope you get this sorted and get the money you are rightfully entitled to. X

I had an assessment for lcwra nearly a year ago. I'm still waiting for my results. Whenever I ask what's happening I'm told there's a back log! This happened last time too. Took 2 years to get lcw. Tried to appeal it as believe i should be lcwra and was told id missed the deadline to apply for a reconsideration/appeal!

That is strange. My son had his assessment and outcome the same month. Is it area dependent?

They're meant to be done that quickly. I honestly have no idea why this happens to me. If I ask UC they say it's not them who do it. When I phoned the number I was given they told me to use my UC journal.

There seems to be a bit of a wait for assessments in some areas. Have you rung and checked they definitely received your UC50 form etc?

Yup. They said they had it. And that it would take about 6 weeks. Called back after 7 weeks. They told me to ask via my journal. Did that and was told to call the number id rung previously. The number just rings out now.
