How old is your microwave?

I have just scared myself by looking at the sticker on the back of my microwave and realising that it was made in 1993. Assuming I bought it the same year it was made (quite possibly as so old can't remember), it is 32 years old. I read online, that you are meant to replace microwaves after 10 years.
Question is, will we have been poisoning ourselves with this ancient microwave? I have ordered a new one from Amazon, which is coming tomorrow.

My parents use the one we used to have. In turn that was given to DH when he first set up home in 2002 and was his parents old one, so I imagine it’s early 90s. Everyone is still alive!

Whoa, 32 years - I'm 33! That's amazing it lasted that long though. I'm sure it hasn't harmed yo x

Mine was 5 years old and was on its last legs, so i just replaced it. I even felt lucky it lasted that long 😄
