Help disputing a online transaction

I made a purchase from currys for a TV. The screen was smashed on arrival .
I ordered a replacement and tried to return the original damaged item.
This is itself was a faff. They wouldn't organise the return, I just heard nothing so contacted customer service again and return was arranged. This was then collected a week later.
Now, the courier collected the item a month ago and I'm still having to chase up my refund. I've contacted them 3 times and each time it's the same story, please wait. How long do I bloody have to wait for my money back? This feels ridiculous at this point. They have also lied about the collection date and claiming it was collected on the date I'm saying that it was collected the following week which is not true. However , they clearly admitted they could see it was collected on their system on that different date. Another week passed and I have contacted them today and now they are claiming the return is still In process and they dont have any further information what's going on or the status of the parcel. Yet again they are asking me to allow more time. I'm getting fucked off chasing them at this point and don't understand why are claiming this is "complicated case" what is so bloody complicated about it? Their website states hassle free returns 🙄
Anyone has advice where to go from here? I paid via PayPal, pay in 3 which comes out of my bank account but PayPal says I'm not eligble for buyer protection for this purchase . I feel like im now left out of pocket and unsure how to resolve this

Complain on social media and do it every day , tagging them on every platform. I only know about disputing via a bank- not sure how PayPal works or why you’re not protected. I thought that’s what PayPal was for! I recently disputed via my banking app and got the money the same day- you could try but I’m not sure. Have a look on Martin Lewis but spam their SM sites in the meantime.
