Is it hot?

Acommonreader · 04/06/2025 21:12

I’d get that looked at asap. If you cannot see a gp or nurse, go to a pharmacist tomorrow. Good luck

What is it, OP?

It does look infected. The four key telltale signs are heat, pain, redness and swelling.

Starlightstarbright4 · 04/06/2025 21:24

It’s a graze - the only thing out of that I don’t have is pain but I have an extreme high threshold for pain

DD had something like this, started as an infected spot and spread.

We ended in the A&E as even plasters caused skin irritation and more infected skin patches and she was on high antibiotics.

To try with antibiotic creams but I would definitely get a nurse to look at it and maybe get it cleaned and dressed properly.

thaegumathteth · 04/06/2025 21:28

I’d soak it in salt water than draw round the redness

Toastandbutterand · 04/06/2025 21:33

I'd go to the pharmacy first. That's if it still looks like that TM if course, if it gets to twice the size in the morning then I'd phone the GP.

madaboutpurple · 04/06/2025 21:34

I think you would be as well to go to your GP surgery. It could be the case that a dressing and antibiotics will help.

TunipTheVegimal24 · 04/06/2025 21:42

Yes, infected.

Keep clean and uncovered. Use Savalon. If no improvement, GP.

Starlightstarbright4 · 04/06/2025 22:07

Thank you .

I have drawn round it .will see how it looks in the morning
