How did you react when you were proposed to?

Lighthearted and feel-good thread.

Just thinking back to my proposal; I kind of expected it but at the same time when DH got down on one knee I just held my face in my hands whilst standing there and burst in to tears for a good minute or so before saying yes. Which surprised me because I didn't think I'd be so overcome with emotion!

What was your reaction?

I must admit I sometimes silently baulk at the gratitude and tears, especially when they have children.

But obviously I just smile and say congratulations.

Shocked and I asked ' are you fkidding me? I was not expecting it. We were hiking in the mountains in North Africa and had stopped by a waterfall. Luckily, he wasn't offended by my reaction and laughed. I said yes. ❤️
