Chicken Pox

My nephew has chicken pox and my mum looked after him at the weekend whilst nephews mum worked.

My mum has had chicken pox in childhood, shingles decades ago and the shingles booster recently.

Is there a chance she could act as a carrier if we meet up? My child hasn’t had chicken pox yet and we have the vaccination booked for July so want to avoid it. Not sure if we can meet within the next few weeks or not now?

No, she won't act as a carrier. She'd need to have chickenpox to pass it on which would be unlikely if she's had it before.
