Robbie Williams concert - unreserved seating

DS and I are going to see RW this Sat at Emirates Stadium - he bought tickets for my birthday. However it’s not seated, we’ve got ‘lower bowl unreserved seating’. I’m really hoping we can get a couple of seats as I’m stressing about standing the whole time and also becoming separated if one of us needs the loo or a drink! Does anyone have any experience of attending a concert here? Any tips on how to get the seats? Doors open at 4pm so thinking of getting there about 3 and hoping that most people will want to get to the front of the pitch.

When whole lower tier is unreserved, the front seats near the stage may fill up, although there are usually seats towards the back of the stadium available throughout the show, as most people will either want to stand or will buy a seated ticket if they prefer to sit.
if you arrive an hour before doors even open you will certainly get seats somewhere. I would probably aim for getting there at least half an hour after doors open, as then you won’t be having to queue for ages.
It can be a bit chaotic before and for the first half hour, then it quietens until closer to showtime. People who queue early do it to get near the barrier, not to get unreserved seats.
You will be sitting there a long time otherwise as Robbie doesn’t come out until around 8.30

Also there are loads of tickets still available, if you go to the box office when you arrive, they will most likely swap your tickets for reserved seating if you ask nicely.
I have done this many times at various different venues if there are unsold better tickets available. They are usually happy to oblige.

@aPathologicalPeoplePleaser - oh thank you. I might see if I can swop them on the day. Do you normally have to pay the difference in price?

Some venues charge an admin fee up to £10 but others will just do a free swap. I’ve never been asked to pay extra for the face value of the ticket.
Some of higher tier seats are cheaper than general admission anyway
Occasionally they say no, usually when it’s sold out.

Enjoy the show! I’ve seen Robbie many times, he’s an outstanding performer, it will be fantastic!

The Lottery Winners are supporting him, they are one of my favourite bands, definitely worth checking them out 😍

Donsyb · 04/06/2025 22:25

You shouldn’t have a problem getting seats, do it as soon as you get there though.

Sunshineandrainbow · 04/06/2025 22:27

I am going Friday. We have reserved seats as I am old! I think you will be fine. Most people rush to be close to the stage.

Does anyone know what time he is likely to start?

BobbySox71 · 04/06/2025 22:33

We went to see The Killers at Emirates stadium after been postponed from COVID.
Pre Covid we bought standing tickets but in the 2 years from buying the tickets and the actual concert my mobility changed a lot. I was a few months away from a total hip replacement and was using a walking stick (not very rock and roll at 51 😂)
There were loads of empty unreserved seats available though I was gutted I missed the support act Sam Fender. One security lady was brilliant though and made sure I got a great seat

itstimeforme · 04/06/2025 22:35

@SunshineandrainbowWe are going on Friday, I think he’s on around 8/8.30

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 04/06/2025 22:35

Whenever we've been to the Emirates there are always loads of empty seats everywhere around the standing area.

Cheffymcchef · 04/06/2025 22:38

I’ve attended a standing concert. Hated it. Had to lean against a wall and got a sore back by the end. I am overweight though. I sent my boyfriend to get our drinks and when he left people behind tried to grab his spot, I had to be very firm. I would grab drinks before you get your spot and only go to the toilet if you really have to. Sorry I’m not much help. Try and go early and grab a seat, go to toilet one at a time if you have a seat and leave a jacket/ bag on it so the other one can make it clear it’s taken.

minnienono · 04/06/2025 22:38

It’s hit or miss as technically they are standing tickets, dh had surgery 3 days before we went to a stadium gig that was told out and the help line was no help, stadium security directed us to the front row of seats (pitch side) and couldn’t see a thing so we ended up standing on edge but with me trying to ensure nobody pushed into him, it was pretty gentle on the edge anyway

Inastatus · 04/06/2025 22:40

@Sunshineandrainbow - I am old too - 61, I need a seat!

We went too, weren't The Killers brilliant?

Such a shame you missed SF. He was great but there was no atmosphere as there were very few people there.

It was our first Killers concert but not the last 😊, DH wasn’t a fan before but he is now

Sunshineandrainbow · 05/06/2025 07:22

I feel you, after I saw your post last night I double checked with DD what she had booked me. I can report back after Friday but I won't be getting in there til 7ish I guess.

Wonder why always seats left at Emirates. I see on his listing it's the only two not saying sold out. Is it a horrible place to get to?

Now is also the point I start worrying about getting home in good time with the crouds. Thanks peri menopause!!!!

Twilightstarbright · 05/06/2025 07:45

That's good to hear, I have never been anywhere near it.

Any tips as taking my MIL who has just started to struggle a bit with mobility.
Tubes are out as she can't do escalators that go down so going to have to taxi it from Euston.

Twilightstarbright · 05/06/2025 12:58

@Sunshineandrainbow Finsbury Park has lifts if that helps

Yes, I wasn't really a fan before the concert but was afterwards.

We only really went because we were Arsenal season ticket holders at the time but so pleased we did.

Inastatus · 05/06/2025 14:51

@Sunshineandrainbow - oh yes, let me know what it’s like. I hope you have a great time.

Hi,

Anyone who sees Robbie front standing 6th June please can you give me feedback, I have an anxious friend. We are front standing and I'd love to get close but she is worried abut the crowd... I am SO excited though! Have fun everyone x
