I have an odd question about welding.

Does anyone know if a home welder was being used. Once it’s turned off how quickly would it cool down to the point of being cold enough to deny you were using it??? Are we talking a few minutes, 20 minutes, over an hour? Roughly.

I’m going to say 20 minutes, maybe less.

At least half an hour, what do you need to weld in a covert way?

Thank you. My neighbour set my hedge in fire, has caused 100k worth of damage. He told another neighbour he was welding. By the time the fire investigation officer turned up he said he hadn’t been welding and he doesn’t know how the fire started, his welding equipment was shut away in a shed and cold.

But this was an hour after the fire started. It was 20 mins for the first fire engine to even arrive so plenty of time to put the welder in a shed.
