Has anyone successfully sold coins?

Hi all. I have (I think), some rare £2 coins and 50p coins. I've looked on Ebay, but the ones on there vary wildly in price, so it's not reliable. Has anyone managed to find a place that values and buys rare coins?

There is a few places - one in Warwick I recall. In my experience they were worth significantly less than I had expected (been told! - they were left in an inheritance) in the end they were auctioned off
