Just that really. I’m very over the father of my kids, my current partner and an occasional person at work thinking it’s ok to leaving me to do things they can’t be bothered to deal with because I’d do it quicker as they won’t engage with organisation.

a line in the sand has been drawn today.

”Don’t be silly, you’ll be great at it, you just need a bit more practice.”

CatherinedeBourgh · 02/06/2025 06:28

'That's why you need the practice more than I do.'

MayaPinion · 02/06/2025 06:29

My ex used to say that all the time until I started replying, ‘All the more reason for you to do it since you clearly feel you need the practice’.

I sort of said it once to my boss. We were out together in a paddock. He asked if I could repair and strain a broken fence. I said I could but he wouldn’t like to watch me do it. The chains of the dogs were like herding an octopus the way they overflowed my little hands so I found it really hard to get the tension.

He did it in about five minutes. I would have taken a lot longer.
