So I had some very strange stuff going on and eventually met a consultant, had an MRI and he didn't speak English well but I thought the gist was if I'm in pain have the key hole op.

After a period at one point I was in pain the whole area seemed inflamed even skin touch etc but it's intermittent.

Sometimes it's been so painful l can't stand up straight I've struggled to stand then walked in pain
Once I'm moving after a while however I'm fine.
Anyway I've been much better this past year although after sometime I struggle to stand but nothing I'd take medication for.

After my scan the consultant said have the op get rid but wasn't clear how bad it was or what it was
He said ops wait is a52 @weeks

Then very soon after I got a call saying because it had already been X time since my initial referral I could have the op in four weeks!
I felt extremely anxious and had some very rare thing booked I'd have to cancel so I said I'm shocked I was told 52 weeks this is too soon ect.. and I've never heard since.

This is now well over 53 week's

How can I access those MRI scans and ask an expert to look for me?

I'm assuming the consultant that looked at the MRI results was a gynaecologist?
I would ask your GP what the results of the MRI state- what does it show, how bad is it etc. It sounds like it could be endometriosis. They could then advise what speciality private doctor should view it etc and how to request imaging if you were to seek a private opinion but be prepared for a private specialist to want their own imaging done for them privately too.

I imagine you haven't heard again following your initial phone call because there was a cancellation, and they prioritised you for it due to the length of time since your referral but now you are back on the general 52 week wait list.

Hope you get some answers and clarity soon!
