In shock re man next door

Our neighbour was a 51 year old man. Kept himself to himself.
If he was in the garden and we came out he would go back in.
Last time we saw him was last Thursday 22nd mowing his lawn.
His step brother has just knocked to tell us that he has died.
They think he died that day. Family think it was a heart attack.
He was made redundant at the end of April and was due to start a
new job next Monday.
Such a sad time for his family.

51 is no age at all.

Lived next door to him for over 15 years. We knew his name, age, and he liked cats.
Apart from his mum and step brother we don't think he had any visitors.
Didn't own a TV. He worked long hours.
There was only us in the close who knew his name.
We tried to be neighbourly by asking him around for a BBQ or even a quick drink at Christmas he always politely refused.
We don't know if he was shy or had any problems.
51 is so young and it's sad he died alone.
