How do I get photo ID?

I'm currently doing an online course and need photo ID to get the certificate. Problem is, my flippin passport has expired. I have no plans to go abroad in the near future, and don't want to spend £100 renewing it. Is there a cheaper, quicker way to get photo ID? I looked into a citizen card, but you need photo ID to get it!! It's because I don't have photo ID that I need one.

Driving licence/provisional?

Some Tesco's have a Max Spielmann photo booth, some Post Office branch locations offer passport photo services, Timpsons, Asda, some locations offer online photo printing and some have booths available.

Can you check with the provider first if an expired passport is an acceptable form of ID?

I was about to say what pp said - as long as you can still be identified, surely an out of date passport is photo id.

Check if they will accept the PP as ID.

Are they are trying to prove attendance over coms or is there a very specific reason its needed?

Valid PP is another word for in date but if your PP pic and you match they may be able to accept it.
