Desperate for Swedish help (trigger warning s!ucide)

Dd is in Copenhagen and she’s left her phone charger at her ex-boyfriends which is three hours away. She’s only just broken up with him and she’s a sobbing mess and saying about suicide (she’s tried once before).

Does anyone know the Comfort Hotel in Copenhagen and where she might be able to get a charger?? She says there are no shops nearby. Without one she can’t get her flight details for tomorrow or contact anyone as she desperately needs to do in this situation.

Any help at all appreciated x

I don’t mean Sweden, I mean Denmark - not thinking straight.

If her train is going through Copenhagen Airport her best bet might be to get off and try the airport shops as it is a public holiday today in Sweden and Denmark (Ascension Day) - so some shops have more restricted opening.

PoloGirl · 29/05/2025 19:29

She’s come from Sweden

If she’s coming from Sweden, her train will definitely stop at the airport. Definitely good advice from PP about the airport being a good place to buy stuff if a holiday. There’s a big 7/11 in the airport before Security.

Lunde · 29/05/2025 19:33

Otherwise - if she can't find a shop - her best best might be to throw herself on the mercy of the hotel reception and see if they can help her (some hotels have a draw of chargers left behind by previous guests)

notsomarvelousmrsmaisel · 29/05/2025 19:34

Ask pretty much anyone she sees, in a bar, in a shop....

Everyone in CPH speaks English - just ask someone if they have a charger she can use.

PoloGirl · 29/05/2025 19:35

Just phoned crying 😔 She’s at the airport but no shops until she gets through security apparently and flight home not until tomorrow eve

There will be people at the airport with chargers and sometimes even charging cables you can plug into. She just needs to ask.

She should talk to someone at the information desk, they will probably be able to lend her a charger or at least give her some ideas of what she should do next. Does she have a hotel for tonight? What was she planning on doing overnight? Can she stay at the airport? Some don't let you stay overnight.

PoloGirl · 29/05/2025 19:39

Where is the 7/11??

BlueyNeedsToFuckOff · 29/05/2025 19:40

It looks as though there may be charging points at the airport - get her to ask at the information desk

Lunde · 29/05/2025 19:40

Tell her to go to airport information to ask their advice about what is open

sakura06 · 29/05/2025 19:40

Agree about asking at info desk for help too!

sakura06 · 29/05/2025 19:44

PoloGirl · 29/05/2025 19:39

Where is the 7/11??

If she comes from the train station, she comes to Arrivals. She needs to turn right (and not proceed to security). 7/11 is further down on the left. You cannot miss it.

Why do you need Swedish help if she is in Denmark?

So glad she got one! I hope she’s ok.

TurkeyLurkey4 · 29/05/2025 19:52

I’ve stayed at that hotel. There is a 7 eleven on the corner of the block she’s staying on. I think they sell chargers there. I’ve definitely bought an adapter there! Good luck. Hope it’s all okay 💐

wizzywig · 29/05/2025 19:54

I don't know how you cope op with this. I'd be on tenterhooks for this reaction anytime things don't go well for her. Hope you're OK.

Thesheerrelief · 29/05/2025 20:01

I was in Copenhagen for work last week. If you are worried about transport for her you can download the Viggo app (like uber) and book/pay for a taxi directly

pimplebum · 29/05/2025 20:02

Can you google the local Samaritans or similar? And give her the number ?
does her travel insurance include mental health hotline or similar ?

personally if it were my daughter talking of suicude I’d be on next plane out there and I d be telling the hotel staff she needs help asap
