It’s not often I’m proud to be British, but I am today.
Enjoy!
(this is hysterical)

I’m so sorry…there’s literally hundreds of (brilliant) replies.
Maybe a wise MNetter along who can advise if there’s a way to view it?

’My umbrella licence was revoked’ is possibly my favourite 😂

Weird. People are constantly spoken to by the police, arrested, and imprisoned for tweets in this country. I'm not sure where the funny is?

FGS. It’s clearly an American MAGA (the original comment) totally bought the whole Trump/Musk/Vance falsehoods about no freedom of speech in the UK. Some of the people that have been imprisoned (Lucy Connelly) totally deserve it anyway.

Not really that hilarious

ButteredRadish · 29/05/2025 20:46

Mildly amusing but not quite hilarious.

The responses by the Brits are great! Thanks for posting 😄

PortillosRedTrousers · 30/05/2025 02:21

Bloke In our town was arrested for a tweet. Another bloke was arrested for mooning a speed camera.

abracadabra1980 · 30/05/2025 04:57

Not all that hilarious. Geordie humour tops that stuff any day.

DeSoleil · 30/05/2025 05:45

Not even remotely funny.

vinavine · 30/05/2025 05:49

well that was disappointing

Obviously I don't know where you live but if the country is England how are you defining constantly? Literally without end, 24/7? Where is that happening?

Neededa · 30/05/2025 05:54

Blimey, you lot should be arrested for sense of British humour bypass and rudeness to someone who found something funny and shared it with her community, for a bit of a laugh

FreddoSwaggins · 30/05/2025 06:05

I like the Hob Nob one. But think then the following ones are trying to be funny in the same vein, and miss out because the humour is the instant witty response.

FreddoSwaggins · 30/05/2025 06:06

^ my response is based on the screenshot responses. Cant see all of them as I don't have threads.

Thank you!
I appreciate that humour is subjective though.
There were some some other v funny responses (I appreciate there’s thousands to trawl through.,,) one about putting the bins out on the wrong day, and a Scottish one about walking your haggis on the moors without a leash or something 😂

Absolutely humour is subjective and I also find that I respond to things differently on different days, but personally, I do enjoy a bit of British self-deprecation.
I don’t have threads myself so only read the screenshots but I just appreciated the sentiment behind your decision to share. I may even sign up to read the rest.
Thanks

Toootss · 30/05/2025 06:36

Tryingtokeepitreal · 30/05/2025 07:57
