Airfryer novice

I have just bought my first airfryer. I am wondering where it should be placed. Currently it is on the kitchen counter. Do I need to move it to under the extractor fan over the hob to use it? If it is sitting on the hob (which is an induction hob), will it cause any problems with the hob or mark it in any way?

Don't put it on the hob, leave it on the counter but just make sure nothing is above it (pull it out from under cabinets, or as far out as you can so that the whole thing isn't underneath). You don't need the extractor fan x
