I was listening my to some analysis of why Trump came back and why he wanted the Situation Room prepared. Their view was that he is insanely jealous of the pictures of Obama in the situation room during the assassination of Bin Laden and that he’s desperate for similar pictures to be released of him looking suitably macho when Iran eventually capitulated (which in his mind is a foregone conclusion).

The former chief of the UK's intelligence service MI6, Sir John Sawers, tells the BBC News Channel that Israel hasn't targeted some of the most important nuclear facilities in Iran, because they don’t have the military capacity to dig deep underground.
"Only the Americans have got that,” he says.
He says the big decision in Washington will be “shall we join the Israelis and complete the job” or find a diplomatic way out of this.
He cautions that there is also a danger that “you end up with a damaged and wounded Iran which has the nuclear programme still intact.”
But he thinks Israel's aim is to “bring the Americans into the conflict” so that US power can be used to destroy the nuclear facilities.

Only the US have the capability to use the “bunker buster” bombs which will penetrate the underground facilities. The Israeli air force is predominantly fighter jets so they just don’t have bombers big enough to carry them.

Also, there's a Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker circling around Mildenhall at the mo. I wonder if they're practicing their mid-air re-fueling. (It's on Flightradar24).

I know - it’s been circling over my bloody house for the last few hours 😜 - I’m about 9 miles from Mildenhall.

Edited to add they do a lot of take off/landing approach practice and when the jets from Lakenheath join in it gets VERY noisy.
