When he says “it’s much bigger than a ceasefire” my thoughts were either the US are going to get involved (hence him asking for the situation room to be readied) or he envisaged a much bigger deal than a ceasefire alone. Of course he’s an idiot and a liar so fuck knows!

Largely I expect because somebody else suggested the ceasefire first.

Agree he’s potentially going ‘all in’ with Israel OR the ‘big beautiful thing that the world has never seen’ is not only is he going to stop the Iranians from developing their nuclear weapons, he’s going to take out the regime altogether and ‘free’ the people of Iran.

There’s clearly no dice with Putin who won’t be told anything, by anyone, ever, so he can’t rescue the people of Ukraine. So maybe he’ll be the saviour of Iran instead by taking down their regime. I absolutely dread to think how but you can be sure that whatever he’s planning will likely be in his own interest.

Eye-rolls aside, the thing I found very interesting in that Macron clip was Trump himself. I don’t know if the video had been doctored somehow, but if not, Trump himself looked very much in need of a doctor (psychiatrist?) and a carer. He’s surely out of it?

Also, and my apologies if this has been asked and answered in earlier threads (I have a nasty feeling I may already have asked this myself and forgotten the answers) - where are all the Junior Trumps and their spouses? They were so prominent in his first term, where have they all gone now?

According to his latest comments aboard Air Force One he’s looking at “much better than a ceasefire” - who knows what he’s yabbering on about but honestly as much as I hope for a solution to this war the thought of him gloating about reaching an agreement for evermore is migraine inducing.

I think he’s referring to a wider agreement on Iran’s nuclear programme, over and above a simple cessation of current hostilities.
