Also I've seen several mentions of the 3.5% thing on bsky, so word seems to have gotten around quickly.

I was listening to Eyes on Gilead podcast and Bradley Whitford described 🍊🌮 as a "Spray-tanned, trust fund sociopath" - and that was in 2019.

Macron, Starmer, Modi, Carney... all looking professional and smart. Trump wandered down the plane steps... navy suit, a very long black coat and a white baseball cap, he looked like someone who had got off the wrong plane, just wandering around, putting his thumbs up

That ICE declaration is the next step in the plan. Republicans have complained about farm workers and hospitality service workers being targeted as it affects their businesses and their red state voters so Drumpf (and Miller) are pulling back from running across farmland or storming chicken factories arresting people. This statement is setting up the excuse to just target Democrat-leaning cities. Any resistance or protest will give him/them the excuse to bring in the National Guard (or worse) in all those places. He saw where the largest 'No Kings' demonstrations were...

I hope the G7 attendees don't let him dominate the narrative. Maybe they won't have space for him at their lunch table either.

It’s almost like the cuts etc were made without much thought….. oh wait.

Just seen a discussion in a tech forum asking "What use is the US ?". Basically the suggestion was that the US closeness to the Islamic countries in the Middle East (against their antipathy to Israel) has been bought with the promise of holding Israel in check.

Now Trump has admitted he has no influence whatsoever on Israel, these states are very likely going to experience internal pressure from the more militant members who are saying "what's the point of dealing with the US now ?"

Basically, that's 80 years of hard work disappeared.

(Also doesn't bode well for the UK. If the US has no say over Israel, the UK less so ....)
