Flowers for a friend

I'm visiting a friend soon and would like to take her a really lovely bunch of flowers - but I'm leaving in the morning early before the local florists open. (And our local florist is not amazing anyway.)

Would you recommend getting flowers delivered to me from e.g. Interflora the day before and taking them with me? I don't really want to have them delivered to her while I'm there, which seems weird, but I do want to make sure they're fresh.

Can you not order some from a florist close to your friend's, and pick them up en route?

That would be ideal but she lives in a busy city centre that I’m unfamiliar with and trying to find parking and navigating is an extra stress I could do without.

I think ordering them to yours the day before would be fine
