Pissing myself off. Keep doing things but not fully thinking it through. I mean the world won't end but still....

I still haven't finished my living room which I started weeks ago.

I then decided to do my front garden my logic for that was people can see my garden when passing they can't see my living room.

Now I'm 2 days behinde on the garden because I was moaning to myself about it costing more than I originally thought.

I now have about 15 bags of dirt to some how get rid off . And it looks like a building site 😭

Holiday in a couple of weeks so I Need to stop being a twat. But I know i will carry on being a twat I can feel it.

I'm constantly doing things like this. I'll join the twat club. X

andtheworldrollson · 28/05/2025 09:43

I don’t see that as being a twat - reframe this as making steady progress on difficult jobs

bettyboo9 · 28/05/2025 09:45

Have you looked into ADHD. I constantly do that

That's what I'm telling myself.

This is my OH, she starts another job before finishing the last one and ends up with 7 things on the go always half finished and then she gets overwhelmed and hates all of them and never finishes 😅

Stamps foot - it’s true!
whenever you make a list of jobs - space the items out
then add the sub tasks in so that you can tick them off

so my living room - speaker stands, wash windows, wash floor, paint walls, paint ceiling, buy paint, choose paint colour … then you see the progress

Icedcaramelfrappe · 28/05/2025 09:48

One thing at a time, you will get it done

We dug up the back garden. We don't have a garden bin because there's no access to the back garden (our normal bins are bags and we have to carry through the house). Sounded like a good idea at the time but now we're stuck with a shit load of garden waste bags slowly trying to getting rid of them lol

I done my back garden a couple of years ago I had at least 40 bags of soil /dirt. Also grano dust dust etc. I put it on free sites and people collected it. Definitely worth a go. I have the same on my front garden now. But it looks worse because it's so small.

Out come will hopefully be good though. Hope you get sorted to .

I'm debating going to b&m to get planters but do I really want to drag the kids round there.

Or I could look on line

Or I could leave it till Friday

Or I could wait until its all completely finished and add plants etc later . But then that takes me into next week.

When do you go on holiday?
Can you get it all done before then?

In 2 weeks. Yeah I can. I'm waiting for a delivery that should be here tomorrow. So hopefully I can finish of the actual floor area.

Someone is meant to be collecting dirt in the next couple days so hoping they do or that messes me up.

Then I need to clean all the area up.
