our street obv has a new dog walker on it. poo being left everywhere! what sort of paint do i use to mark it so that the paint disappears rather than marks the pavement forever or are there any other ideas please?

Our road uses chalk for this in the past to circle and shame the offending pop, and it worked well :-)

Spray paint is just as bad, chalk or put a flag in it 😂

I was in Denmark recently and (you know how the Danes love their flags) came across a serial dog poo-er on a street corner. There were about half a dozen small Danish flags stick in the samples!

I don't want to get so close to it to stick a flag in, or chalk round it.

I've noticed poo being sprayed around here lately. What's the idea behind it? Does it really deter people?

We chalked a wide circle so you didn’t have to get too close. I say we, I admit I vetoed that job!

why did you not want it done/veto it? I think it's a good idea. anything to draw attention to it to stop people walking in it and to, hopefully, embarrass the selfish person with the dog.

Poo looks like poo! If you spray it blue, a child may not realise it’s poo and kick it or step on it.

Our neighbours landscape gardener used yellow chalk spray for temporary marking.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear! I vetoed doing it myself but supplied the chalk! It was really effective as a technique (and made it very visible, as people were stepping in it 🤮

I think some of the offenders think “nobody will notice it”. Marking it shows that somebody has noticed it, and might make the offender think they are being watched.

I think the problem is that people who do this don’t care anyway. But for everybody else it just leaves another mark on the pavement. But maybe I’m wrong and it will make a difference. 🤞
