Historic tour recommendations

So we have done York with all his superb historical sites including the Eden Camp in Yorkshire. We have also done Bletchley park, which was fascinating. Looking for 4 days away somewhere equally as interesting. Anywhere in the U.K. is good. Any recommendations?

Kent. We stayed near Tonbridge for a few days. Went to Chartwell, Hever Castle, Leeds Castle, Sissinghurst and Knowle.

That sounds a nice mix

I’m assuming you’ve already spent lots of time in London?

Lincoln. The historic Guildhall runs amazing free tours in the town centre and then there's the Cathedral & Castle which are in the Bailgate, uphill. There's lots of hidden history in Lincoln - worth a visit.

What would you recommend in London?

If you're going to London, I'd recommend getting a family membership for Historic Royal Palaces which covers Tower of London, Hampton Court and Kensington Palace plus discount at Kew Gardens. Plus many of the museums are free, Victoria & Albert, Imperial War, Natural History. Personally I like just walking along the Thames from London Eye to Shakespeare's Globe. Lots to see.
