Does this jumper look too big?

I'd describe myself as a petite size 8-10.
Normally go for a small size 8-10 close fitting jumper.
Decided to go for a slouchy loose fitting size 8-10 jumper (present from my mother) I'd almost say I could fit another person inside.
Not sure..... what do you think?

Does this jumper look too big?

That’s how I like my knitwear-it looks perfect to me!

SlightlyFurther · 26/05/2025 15:48

Looks fine to me. Sometimes you want some slouch.

whitewineandsun · 26/05/2025 15:49

Hyperbolic to say you could fit another person in it. It's loose fitting. Looks fine.

Gattopard · 26/05/2025 15:49

Normal fit for a jumper.

doodleschnoodle · 26/05/2025 15:50

Looks fine to me for that style.

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 26/05/2025 15:52

the sleeves do look a bit long.

so the ' fit ' of the jumper on the body is fine

it's the sleeves that don't look right - to me

LifeBeginsToday · 26/05/2025 15:52

It looks large to me - the shoulder seam is half way down your arm. But I’ve seen worse.

Hennibg · 26/05/2025 15:54

Yes too big tbh but if you like it I'd go with the slouchy, cosy look

Doggielovecharlotte · 26/05/2025 15:54

Yes too big - sleeves too long

Tolkienista · 26/05/2025 15:56

Yes the sleeves are very long......but I've worn it for the first time today and I'm already getting used to the length of them, not half as annoying as when I first put it on.

Yes, I think I've been missing some slouch in my attire.

You need some slouch! And extra long sleeves are great in chilly weather…

Cotswoldmama · 26/05/2025 15:58

It looks slouchy and loose fitting and that's what you were going for.....

I've got used to it since putting it on this morning, at first felt drowned to be honest.

I think that’s the design.

Yes, that was a bit remiss of me to make such a comment, it is indeed loose fitting.

Looks good to me!

Sunnydayze43 · 26/05/2025 17:40

In the pic the arms look to be kinda baggy, like if you extended your arms the cuff would go well below your fingertips.
Also looks a bit pouchy around the abdomen, but it is a look and is comfy.
If it were me I would have to push the sleeves up to the elbow cuz I can't stand sleeves that are too long.
So in other words it looks good as a casual style and you're lucky that you can also wear more a more tight fitting jumper, what holds a lot, holds a little that's my DM always says!

Tolkienista · 26/05/2025 18:42

Well, just.before I took this pic i had the.sleeves pushed.up which.looked.good. Pulled them down for the photo.
In the end it's how something you're wearing makes you feel.
As the day progresses it's really growing on me and I think in the winter it will be perfect for keeping warm.

That looks great. It’s a beautiful garment!

Sunnydayze43 · 26/05/2025 19:41

Looks like a pretty colour too, that colour shade always reflects colour back into my face which looks really good in the pale days of winter.
It's definitely a slouch style, casually great with jeans and super comfy to snuggle down inside of.

Thanks for your message.
I'm very pale skinned, so there's a lot of dark colours I really have to avoid.
This one definitely suits my fair skin, so I'm happy with the colour.
