I have gave up expensive skin care creams etc.
I now only use moisturiser i do spend out on it.
But it works much better than all the other expensive wrinkle creams well for me it dose.
Its been 6 months and ive noticed the difference.
Before it was face wash face scrub tonner night creams day creams face packs eye creams serums etc.
But it didnt do anything.

Now after 6 months of just a good soap tcp or witch hazel as tonner and a good moisturiser ive noticed the difference i have really good skin and less wrinkles.

I think skin care is good but am i the only one that thinks you only pay for the name as the products dont work.

I don’t think it’s necessary to pay a fortune, there are clearly some good products at the lower price points.
Simplifying your routine can be a relief if it’s got over-complex & time consuming

So what’s the new moisturiser that you’re using?

I use Cetaphil wash, avene moisturiser and le Roche posay spf. Cerave eye cream. All holy grail products to me and a as k never tempted to go higher price point wise!!!

TCP and witch hazel both sound really harsh toners to me but otherwise I agree with you

Squirrelsnut · 26/05/2025 14:46

TCP directly on your skin as a toner?! Blimey.
I don't use pricey stuff, just Vaseline, coconut oil, etc and at 54 I have almost no visible lines. But that's because I am very pale and have used high spf since my 20s.
