How can I stop this from happening

Our 8 month old In his cot at night rolls to sleep on his front or rolls to get onto his back when doing this he ends up diagonal in the cot and his leg or arm gets stuck he also hits his head on the bars. He’s waking up crying/ screaming when this happens which is constantly twice already tonight he’s had to be moved. I know mesh cot bumpers are not approved I’ve considered getting him a floor bed with but he’s only 8 months and I don’t feel he’s old enough. I need a solution soonish as it’s effected his sleep at night and mine.

Definitely just get a floor bed, or mattress on the floor which is what we did. Baby gate on the bedroom door. Neither of mine ever slept in a cot, we just did floor beds and zero issues.

Travel cot with a proper mattress? My DD is constantly falling and banging her head in her cot and I’m going to do this, travel cot mesh sides

I agree with the travel cot, my grandson uses to bang his arms off the cot sides causing big stripy bruises ( sen) and the travel cot worked a treat.

We tried the travel cot on holiday a few weeks ago and he hated it slept terribly but will try it again maybe now he’s in his own room

My dd slept on a mattress on the floor from about 8 months. She never rolled off and we all slept much better. It also meant if she needed us in the night it was a lot easier than hoiking out of a cot.

Do you use a grow bag?

it's worth a go before changing from a cot.

Do you have a proper mattress for it as the ones that come with are so thin and uncomfortable

Yes we use a grow bag and also brought his mattress with us for the holiday as I wasn’t sure what the rental property cot one would be like he still wasn’t that happy
