My lovely little cat found a mouse in the middle of the night, it must have come from outside as the back door was open.
He kept toying with it and I kept trying to grab it in a tissue but it eventually managed to escape us both. I'm pretty sure it must have died as he was harassing it for about ten minutes.
Now, I have a dilemma.
Do I search for the dead mouse underneath the furniture etc? There's so much stuff here and the couch is really heavy. I'm not really very able bodied. It would take several hours I really don't have the energy for.
Or do I just accept that if it's there it will decompose really quickly and probably won't stink or cause a fly infestation?
There is also a slim chance it ran back out again to safety.
What do you think?
TIA
