Universal credit help

I lost my job end of April, I have no savings.

I was paid end of April, I have received no further payments and due no further payments from my ex employer.

I put a claim in for universal credit but they are saying I don’t get a payment this month because I got my final salary payment at end of April.

So do I have to wait two months before I can get any financial help at all?

Please I don’t need judgement!

@muppetmayhem unfortunately thats how they work it. Because you got a payment from your employer that should last you till you get any universal credit payment. Its really disorganised. Can you get an advance on your universal credit if you are struggling??

I will have to ask. I didn’t realise that was the case.

Take a statement showing rent amount etc the basics and ask for that amount . You might need to x2 if you can only have one advance?
be upfront I’ve always found them fair.
