... and love is in the air! This week there is a spring wedding fair, so I will be bringing you all the scenes from it for the next 7 days.

Julian and Toby hire out wedding cars. Gregor and Kirsty take a look. Julian is showing them this luxurious limousine.

And that completes the Playmobil spring wedding fair!

Thank you all for joining me! Do keep your comments coming. I've really appreciated all the comments along the way. I'm off for a Brew now, but I'll be back a bit later to answer any questions! Smile

Enjoy the cuppa and it’s been a beautiful wedding fair 🙂

Any ideas for the what the people in Playmoland will do next apart from hopefully a September wedding?

Janine and Alina finish their set of music with a flourish!

I always love your work but this one does look as if they're about to attack them with swords.

Fgfgfg · 31/05/2025 12:18

Love the hats.
My favourites have to be the wedding pics.
Thank you.

Londonmummy66 · 31/05/2025 12:42

Thank you for the wonderful dress show - brightened up the day!

SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2025 14:07

@HotCrossBunplease quite a bit of my collection originally belonged to my ds, but he is 24 now, and has outgrown it! I do keep adding to it though. I keep it all in my (large) shed, packed in plastic boxes.

I haven't ever done a Playmo Glasto (or other festival), but I have used a lot of Playmo bands in other events (e.g. the opening and closing ceremonies of last year's PlaymOlympics).

I also have great memories of setting up scenes with my ds! Smile

@JewelleryCat I'm not sure what will be next. The trouble is I start a project and then it seems to get bigger and bigger as I think of more ideas! This one was originally going to be just a bridal fashion show, then it turned into a whole wedding fair! Grin

I absolutely love the humour in your name choices. My cousins are called Gregor and Kirsty!

ChessieFL · 31/05/2025 14:48

Fabulous as always. Thank you!

Misstabithabean · 31/05/2025 16:15

Only discovered this thread today so I've just done the whole wedding fayre in one day! It's fabulous. Love the names of the different characters. My favourite parts were the wine tasting and the appearance of the archbishops. Playmoland seems such a happy little place!
Do the same characters appear in different stories? How do you keep track of who everyone is?

JewelleryCat · 31/05/2025 16:16

@SoMuchToBits I think a Playmo Glasto is such a good idea! You could do it next month when BBC show Glastonbury. Does Playmobil have anything like a pyramid stage?

LlynTegid · 31/05/2025 16:37

Thank you @SoMuchToBits

SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2025 16:59

@Misstabithabean thank you! Some of the characters do recur in different stories - it depends on the type of story really! To keep track of the characters I have a database on my computer with all the characters on it. That tells me which sets they are from, their characteristics etc. Then I have a Playmo planner - a notebook in which I keep records about family relationships, names of places in Playmoland and other useful information. @JewelleryCat I'd never be able to get anything produced by next month! It takes weeks of planning to stage most Playmo events, and hours to set up the scenes and take the photos. I thought originally it might take me about 4 days to produce the wedding fair. It actually took quite a bit longer than that! Grin

And no pyramid stage. The biggest stage I have is this one.

That’s a good stage! That’s Playmo Glasto right there lol

Laska2Meryls · 31/05/2025 17:46

Wow! The last day wedding dress show was amazing! I loved all the little details and the commentary , it was like being there. Well, well done @SoMuchToBits I think you have outdone yourself..
Such a fab thread .. Thanks so much for all your hard work thinking, planning and setting up.. this kind of thread is what makes MN so special..

Just Brilliant.. looking forward to the wedding sometime later this year.
Now you sit back and have a lovely blue wine or two this evening and maybe a slice or two from the delicious pizza van....

NooNakedJacuzziness · 31/05/2025 18:35

Oh wow I love the wedding dresses with actual veils! Lovely job as always @SoMuchToBits . Maybe a Playmo Glasto next year, have a rest now 😊

SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2025 19:34

Thank you so much everyone for the lovely comments! I've had a great time putting this together, and it's good to know it has been appreciated by so many people! Smile

I've just done a quick audit and realise I have used an estimated 189 characters in this project! Quite amazing really. I hope they have all enjoyed their 5 minutes of fame! Grin

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 31/05/2025 21:06

Well done @SoMuchToBits 🌟
It was a beautiful wedding fayre! 🩷
It really had everything!

SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2025 21:09

Well not quite everything - no garlic bread, conjuror, chocolate fountain or wedding favours! But most things I could think of which Playmobil actually make! Grin

OP posts:
FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 31/05/2025 21:10

It had all the important things 😃

SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2025 21:13

I hope so! One of the things I love about doing a project like this is that I get to know some of the characters a lot better. I could easily pick most of those 189 people out of a line-up now! Grin

I have been relaxing this evening with a white wine Playmo blue wine and a home cooked dinner pizza.

Lovely to have completed the project, but I'm now in full on planning mode for the wedding later in the year! Smile
