Haven’t had a period since I was 13 but bleeding and clots?

Hi. I have pcos and have been on epilim on and off throughout my childhood. Whenever I came off it my periods came back. They stopped when I went on it.

i got a copper IUD as hormonal contraception made me vomit, and I bled heavily for weeks after. Not a proper period just bleeding.

my seizures started again and I found out epilim is dsngerous for women in case they get pregnant anyway, so I went on lamotrigine. Took a while but it stopped my tonic clonic seizures.

ended up having an endometrial biopsy due to lack of period, I was fine, no cancer

I was given meds to try and bring on regular periods but they made me feel sick so I never took them. I know this is bad.

my last bleeding was when I got my coil in 5 years ago. I’m due a new one next month. Getting general anesthetic for it.

i am v overweight (obese) and am seeing a diatician but I’ve just started and only lost half a stone (weight is in 20s stone wise)

recently been on a lot of antibiotics for a tooth infection.

yesterday I was cramping a lot and this morning I noticed I have a period. For the first time since I was 13 bar the coil bleeding when I first got that.

i am a bit concerned why it’s suddenly started though and I passed a huge blood clot while peeing.

I’ve been pregnancy testing regularly as my coil ran out last month as me and my partner don’t use condoms but as I said I never got periods. Tests have always been negative.

could anyone shed some light?

This might be better moved to a Health topic, you may get more knowledgeable help there. My only other thought is that unless you want to get pregnant it would seem wise to use condoms or abstain till your contraception is sorted. Risky to keep having sex and just testing. I guess there’s a chance this may be a miscarriage but given your complexities, it could be other things. Probably best to see your health practitioner who’s familiar with your case.
