I'm interested, can you share the career path of your son's GF? What GCSEs, a-levels, private or state school, which uni, what course(s), what personality?

My son earns 755 whole pence an hour. Trolley lad. His girlfriend's the high earner. Apprentice. AMA.

Definitely doable salaries for mid 20’s in those careers. Just hope they’re enjoying their jobs and living their best lives. Love to see young people doing well.

What are they doing to future proof themselves for when A.I. can do their jobs? I work in one of the aforementioned industries and the pace of change is accelerating hugely.

How much do they give you?

£180k is a standard salary for a 2PQE lawyer at a US firm. £120k for an investment banker sounds low.

Remember they will go into the 55% tax bracket.
