Annoying 'Sure' advert

Does anyone else find the Sure ad really annoying- the one which goes "Brits, tell us about your bits?" then goes on to say we need a deodorant for these 'bits'?

As well as not wanting to see it, I think it is trying to create a problem where there is none...if people had a daily shower surely they would not need to put deodorant on all these "bits" - underarms yet but not the others.

It just really annoys me.

If you have gone on line to complain that an ad is annoying, and give the product name in doing so, this is an advertising campaign success.

I agree with all over deodorant being unnecessary and also unsafe. Bodies need to sweat and apart from groin and underarms glands are different and no smell is created. It is unhealthy to.use an all over anti perspiration and I am surprised it is allowed to be sold.

The manufacturers have to keep thinking up new products, and then trying to persuade people that they need them.

The recent explosion of TV ads for FRESH! scent boosters for laundry, are a prime case.

Re scent boosters I fell for that one. Have stopped the habit now, too expensive and to be honest I cannot smell I!!

Going somewhat off topic, what's with all the toilet humour in picture books and boxed games these days? It's so gross and unnecessary!!

Maybe going off at a tangent does anyone else struggle to buy clothes particularly dresses and skirts because they are too long? Is every woman over 5 feet 9inch tall? I am 5 feet 4inch and could cut the bottom off and make a further outfit!!

Disgusting advert what is wrong with these bloody advertisers terrible it even got on the telly

Svolvaer · 24/06/2025 15:43

Years ago (early 70s) they used to advertise (and sell of course) deodorants for your nether regions. Elle for women and Lui for men. Totally unnecessary for those with decent personal hygiene and within a very few years those products were seen no more.

Let’s hope the new lot go the same way

Yep. Anyone else get a free comfort sample in their grocery shopping this week. A new product to boost freshness? Load of bollocks.
