Meal boxes..

I’m alone next week and just impulse bought a discounted Gusto meal box thing for 5 dinners for 1 for 20 quid. I’ve never tried anything like this before, but I usually have a treat or two when it’s just me. Have I made a big mistake? Would you have given it a go? I’m hoping it will be fun. I do love cooking though…..

We’ve had both gousto and hello fresh. Why would it be a big mistake? If you decide you don’t fancy the meals you at least have a fridge full of ingredients to feed yourself with 🤷🏻‍♀️

I use them every now and again, when there’s a discount and I’m in a bit of a rut food wise. I like the convenience and trying something new. I do notice that they tend to under spice/under season things but otherwise they’re a good option for trying new things.

I tried Hello Fresh when the babies were tiny and everything was a variation of pasta it felt like 😂

And the excess of packaging was really saddening.

And then cost per meal was ridiculous for what it was in the box.

It put me off trying any others!

But then I like cooking and meal planning. I actually miss cooking for one!
