How often do you do highlights

I got highlights done in march. The hair is ok now but there is approx 2cm of roots showing.

Just wondering how often to get it done. My hairdresser never said it to me. Online says every 8 to 12 weeks. I am not around about the 9 week mark.

My hairdresser gets booked quickly. I would have to book him now for next month.

I get mine every 12 weeks but if I wasn’t worried about the cost I’d do more like 10 weeks especially as I’ve started having a few greys come in

Sometimes every three months and sometimes I let it go as long as six months. I quite like the grown out look and my hairdresser dots the highlights around so that it looks pretty natural
