How old! ???

Today I finished the last of the cupcake cases that were in this cardboard box.
I vaguely remember being given this box at least 10 years ago and it was about half full by a friend who knew I love baking and said they’ve been taken from their relatives house they were clearing.

And just before I threw it in the bin and then retrieved it to take the photos I took a good look at it and thought when did her relative buy these?

I’m in my late 50s but I’d say that box looks 1970s?

feel free to add your own antiquities 😀

That font looks very 70s, like the silver bracelets you could get that spelled your name.

.sorry I'm wrong re logo

400 is a lot though!

Hasn't the Boots logo remained the same for decades?

Ohfortheloveofcake · 22/05/2025 18:04

The logo is very similar. They’ve just dropped the top line I think.

400 was a lot. At the time I used to bake 24 at a time so they were very welcome. But everybody’s been on a diet recently.

@EVHead I don’t remember the bracelets but I’m quite intrigued now to know if I was to see it, whether I would remember it

That’s been the boots logo for a long time. That font is very old, and the orange colour is very 70s. I’d contact them. Big companies like Boots often have an archive who might be interested.

As an aside, follow the Sainsbury’s archive on social media. It’s fascinating.
